| On December 11, 2025, at 8:43 p.m., Keystone Valley Fire Department along with Sadsburyville Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Octorara Trail and Lincoln Highway in West Sadsbury Township for a motor vehicle accident.
While units from Keystone Valley Fire Department responded, the Chester County 911 Center advised that the incident was being upgraded to an accident with entrapment, resulting in the addition of Paramedic 344 from the Westwood Fire Company.
Ambulance 8-1 arrived first to assess the scene and confirmed that one person was trapped. Rescue 8, led by Firefighter/EMT Michael Lavender Jr., arrived and their crew began extrication efforts. All personnel at the scene worked together to safely free the patient and provide medical care. Deputy 8 (Gathercole) served as incident commander.
Rescue 8, Rescue 31, and Tac 8 crews addressed vehicle hazards and cleared debris from the roadway. Ambulance 8-1 and Medic 344 transported one individual to a regional trauma center for treatment of injuries.
