| Earl Bryson was a member for over 66 years, serving Parkesburg Fire Company and most recently with Keystone Valley Fire Department.
Earl joined the Parkesburg Fire Company in 1959. He was a dedicated member of both Parkesburg Fire & EMS and later served in the Fire Police Division with Keystone Valley Fire Department.
Earl will always be remembered for his part as Santa Claus for decades in Parkesburg Borough and enjoyed serving as Santa during its Annual Christmas Eve events. Earl contributed more than 60 years as a volunteer in the community.
Life Member Tim Reynolds spoke at the funeral, highlighting Earl Bryson's dedication to Parkesburg Fire Company and the community. Earl spent many hours volunteering on the ambulance, ensuring it was staffed and able to respond to emergencies. He devoted much of his time to supporting the Emergency Medical Services of Parkesburg EMS however, could also be remembered as an engineer and dedicated volunteer.
Earl gave unwavering commitment to his community and held a deep love for his family.
The family emphasized that Earl gave an extraordinary 66 years of service as an active member of the Parkesburg Fire Company. His dedication to his calling reflected his character and demonstrated his love for his neighbors and his desire to make a difference. Over the decades, he positively impacted countless lives, exemplifying courage and selflessness with every emergency call. Many have remarked that Earl may have been the most active ambulance driver in the organization’s history.
Funeral services were provided by Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Burial took place at Upper Octorara Cemetery.
