KVFD was dispatched at 5:30 a.m. to the area of Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Swan Road for a motor vehicle accident. Reports indicated that two vehicles were involved, with a pickup truck found on its side. Additional EMS units were assigned to the incident to provide support.

Upon arrival, KVFD confirmed the initial report and requested a fire police task force to help manage traffic around the accident scene. Business Route 30 was shut down from the Chester County side as well as the Lancaster County side to ensure safety.

Mutual aid fire police units from Chester and Lancaster Counties were dispatched to assist. Additional EMS units were also requested due to the number of patients needing evaluation.
